On February 4, 2006, Alameda Pediatric Dentistry held its annual Give Kids a Smile Day as part of the American Dental Association's national children's access day. 40 patients from emergency shelters and Headstart were screened and "adopted" by local East Bay area dentists and clinics. Besides our own doctors and staff, other East Bay dentists, UOP dental students, UCSF pediatric dental residents, hygiene students, dental assistants, and high school students joined us for the event. Everyone had a good time and we look forward to next year's event.
